Ginger Kadha (herbal decoction)

Ginger Kadha (Herbal Decoction)

Ginger kadha is a traditional herbal decoction known for its warming, soothing, and healing properties. It is commonly prepared as a home remedy during coughs, colds, seasonal allergies, and congestion. Made by simmering ginger, tulsi, spices, and herbs, this kadha works as a natural anti-inflammatory and decongestant, helping to soothe the throat, reduce irritation, and clear the airways.

This simple drink is especially effective when consumed warm. The combination of ginger, black pepper, cloves, fennel, and cinnamon helps stimulate circulation and loosen mucus, while tulsi supports respiratory health. A small amount of jaggery added at the end balances the spice and adds gentle sweetness without overpowering the herbs.
