Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup boiled chickpeas
  • 1 medium avocado
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp black salt
  • 1 tsp red chili flakes
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Salt to taste

Method
 

  1. Mash the avocado and boiled chickpeas together until combined.
  2. Add lemon juice, black salt, regular salt, black pepper, and red chili flakes.
  3. Mix well until creamy and smooth.
  4. Serve with nachos, chips, wraps, or enjoy as a dip or sandwich spread.

Notes

For a smoother texture, mash longer or blend lightly (but don’t over-blend or it may become pasty).
Add more lemon juice if your avocado is very ripe — it brightens the flavor.
Black salt is key for the savory depth — don’t skip it.
If storing, place plastic wrap directly on the surface to prevent browning.
Add cilantro, jalapeños or smoked paprika to change up the flavor.
