Peel the raw papaya, discard seeds if any and cut it into small cubes.
In a bowl take salt water and soak papaya cubes in salt water for 10 minutes to remove any stickiness
In a pan, heat coconut oil.
Add cumin seeds and green chilies. Sauté for a few seconds.
Add the papaya cubes and season with salt, red chili powder and turmeric.
Mix well, cover and cook on low flame for 10 to 15 minutes.
Check occasionally to prevent sticking. Add a little water only if needed.
Once papaya is tender, add grated coconut and mix gently.
Cook for 2 more minutes on low flame.
Serve warm.
