Method
- Peel the turmeric and ginger. Use gloves if needed to prevent staining.
- Grate the ginger and turmeric into a plate or bowl.
- Add the grated ginger, turmeric, and black pepper to a pot with water.
- Cover and bring to a boil.
- Boil gently for 2 to 3 minutes.
- Turn off the heat and strain the tea into cups.
- Squeeze the lemons into the hot tea and add maple syrup to sweeten.
- Serve warm.
