Ingredient Notes

Watermelon: The base of this drink — juicy, sweet, and hydrating. Choose ripe watermelon with deep color and firm texture for the best flavor.

Lemon Juice: Adds bright, tangy contrast to the sweetness of the watermelon, creating that classic lemonade balance of sweet and sour.

Fresh Mint Leaves: Infuse the lemonade with cooling freshness and a subtle herbal note that makes every sip extra refreshing.

Black Salt: A secret ingredient that enhances flavor, adds a hint of savory tang, and makes the drink taste even more vibrant.

This watermelon lemonade is pure sunshine in a glass!
Course: Drinks

Ingredients

  • 2 cups deseeded cubed watermelon
  • 5-6 fresh mint leaves
  • ½ tsp lemon juice
  • ¼ tsp black salt
  • Sugar optional

Method

  1. Add deseeded watermelon cubes, plenty of fresh mint leaves, lemon juice, and a pinch of black salt to the blender.
  2. Blend until completely smooth, making sure the mint is well incorporated for maximum freshness.
  3. Taste and, only if your watermelon isn’t naturally sweet, blend again with a little sugar.
  4. Strain the mixture if you prefer a clearer, lighter lemonade, or leave it unstrained for a thicker, fruitier finish.
  5. Pour the chilled lemonade over lots of ice and garnish with extra mint leaves and a lemon slice.

Notes

Add sugar only if the watermelon isn’t sweet — adjust based on taste.
Extra mint makes the drink more refreshing and cooling.
For a slush-like texture, blend some ice directly with the watermelon.
Black salt enhances the tangy flavor and balances the sweetness.
